The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry took on a new role recently and did a fantastic job at it! He became the guest-editor of the Instagram account of the National Geographic!

He took on this new role to spread awareness about the importance of trees and forest conservation. By means of the campaign titled ‘Looking Up,’ he posted that he “seeks to raise awareness of the vital role trees play in the Earth’s ecosystem.”

He also urged people to post images of trees from their own communities using the hashtag #LookingUp.

In the first picture posted on the Instagram account of the National Geographic, he put up a picture of Baobab trees that he clicked himself in the Liwonde National Park in Malawi.

He also put up a picture clicked by photographer Peter Essick of a strangler fig tree in the Yidney Scrub Rainforest on Fraser Island, Australia. “It is a stunning view of a strangler fig as it twists around another tree to head upwards toward the sun, precisely why it got its name!” he wrote.

A beautiful photo by Simon Croberts taken at the National Arboretum, in Gloucestershire, England also made the cut.
