In accordance with Sweden’s reputation for practising sustainability, ReTuna is a shopping mall replete with pre-owned products. It is located in the outskirts of Eskilstuna, 70 miles west of Stockholm and is well thought of as ‘green role model’ for other Swedish cities. All products in this mall are reused or recycled and it promotes heavily a zero-waste policy.

You will be surprised to know that most of the commodities in the mall are public donations as they drop them off in the mall’s drive-thru depot. Among the 11 odd storage zones of ReTuna, there is a vintage furniture outfitter, a bicycle store, and a bookshop. The mall also added another feather to its hat by generating employment for the immigrants, thereby giving them a great understanding of the labour market in Sweden.

What do you think about such a mall? Would you be interested and willing to buy secondhand products? Do let us know!
