Greta Thunberg, born on 3rd January 2003, will look just like any other 16-year-old to you. That is until you see her on a Friday skipping school.

Every Friday since August 2018, she has been skipping her classes, and now many of her classmates are joining her too.

But, we mentioned that you need to join her too. And why is that?

That is because what she does every Friday concerns all of us. We all live on the beautiful but endangered planet called Mother Earth. Unfortunately, though our time on earth is running short.

We should have already hit the emergency button by now. But, our entire planet and flora and fauna are bearing the brunt of our recklessness and selfishness.

We all love our children the most, but it’s their future that we are snatching away in front of their very own eyes.

This where this 16-year-old old comes in. She skips her school every Friday and goes on a strike in front of the Swedish parliament to protest against climate change, urging the government to take necessary action.

Her movement has gained immense popularity since and has moved to several cities around the world. On social media, it’s being called #FridaysForFuture.

Don’t you think we should skip our offices and classes and work together for #FridaysForFuture?
