The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle gave birth to a baby boy on 6th April 2019, ending a massive frenzy over the Royal baby. In an official statement, the Buckingham Palace said that the baby weighed 7lbs 3oz (3.2) kgs at birth.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex and the father of the baby, announced that they were still thinking of names for the baby.

This royal baby is the seventh in line to the crown and is Queen Elizabeth’s eighth great-grandchild. He follows Prince Charles – the Prince of Wales, Prince William – the Duke of Cambridge, the children of Prince William – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, and Prince Harry to the throne.

Here is the news on the official Instagram handle of the couple:

The baby has been born with dual citizenship as he has automatically acquired US citizenship via his mother, Meghan, who is a native of California.

Unlike the births of other royal babies, this one was a private affair. The three babies of Prince William and Catherine were all born at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London.

Prince Harry, the doting husband, announced, “I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy.” He added, “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the lovely support.”

Harry and Meghan got married on 19th May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel.
