A literal money rain on a busy Hong Kong street caused a traffic snarl, forcing cops to intervene. And the police advised people not to collect the banknotes that floated down a high-rise. In fact, cops collected around HK$5,000 from Fuk Wa Street in Sham Shui Po locality on December 15, 2018. Later, videos posted online showed people’s mad scramble to grab the currency notes descending from the top of a building.
Reports said police later arrested the Lamborghini-driving owner of Epoch Cryptocurrency, Wong Ching-kit. The arrest was for causing a public disturbance. Cops acted after a video on the firm’s Facebook page showed a hooded man speaking Cantonese. He was heard saying: “I don’t know whether any of you will believe money can fall from the sky.”0
