How many diamonds do you think can fit in a single ring?

A whopping 12,638!!

As per the Guinness World Records, Harshit Bansal, founder of Renani Jewels in Meerut in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, set a new record in November last year with an astounding design.

Named ‘The Marigold – The Ring of Prosperity’, the breathtaking ring weighs 165.450 grams and 38.08 carat natural diamonds were used to make it. In Indian culture, it is widely believed that the Marigold flower brings prosperity and good luck to people.

It took three years to make this ring, and it is shaped like a marigold. Its intricate design consists of eight layers of petals, and none of the petals are identical to each other. This gives the ring a perfect blend of organic symmetry, design and alignment.

Bansal told the Guinness Records that he was inspired to create such a ring when he was studying jewelry design. He rejected many designs before finalizing on this beautiful one. He also believes that the ring is extremely comfortable to wear.

The previous record — 7,801 diamonds in a single ring — was also set in India by the Hyderabad-based jeweler Hallmark Jewellers.
