Here is a List of the Top 10 Airports in the World for 2019

In a survey released by AirHelp, the world’s leading passenger rights specialist, the Hamad International Airport at Doha, Qatar is the best in the world. This was followed by the Tokyo International Airport in Tokyo, Japan and the Athens International Airport in Athens, Greece at number two and three respectively. Remarkably, these three airports have bagged the top three spots in the survey since the past four years.

The rankings were calculated based on factors such as on-time performance, which accounts for 60 percent of the overall score, and service quality as well as the availability of food and shops, which account for 20 percent each of the overall score. Using these parameters, a total of 133 airports were ranked.

Unfortunately, none of the airports in the United States featured in the top 10 while two Brazilian airports featured in the top 10. Quite a few Asian airports featured in the list, which included the Hyderabad International Airport in India and the Changi International Airport in Singapore.

According to Henrik Zillmer, the Chief Executive Officer of AirHelp, American airports might have performed poorly owing to adverse weather conditions and weather-related factors, which impact American airports much more than any other airports.

Here is a list of the top ten airports based on the survey.
