What are the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards?

The awards basically bring about the funny side of animals in the wild. By bringing in funny pictures of animals from across the world, these awards show us that nature is just as goofy as it can get. They were introduced due to “a need for a photography competition that was light hearted, upbeat, possibly unpretentious and mainly about wildlife doing funny things.”

However, the awards are not about just showcasing the funny side of animals. These awards also underscore the importance of conservation of all species of wildlife.

The awards were initiated by photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam in collaboration with Born Free, an international wildlife charity that works towards ensuring that all animals are treated with compassion and care.

The winners of the competition for this year will be announced on 13th November.
