Charity begins at home. And that is what Bruno Mars seems to be doing by providing 24,000 Thanksgiving dinners in his home state Hawaii this year. The singer, who recently concluded his ‘24K Magic World Tour’ on a successful note in Hawaii, has tied up with the Salvation Army’s 48th annual Thanksgiving Dinner meal program for this initiative.

According to information available on the Salvation Army’s website, it provides meals to around 2,000 people on Thanksgiving each year. It is helped by volunteers and local restaurants. Mars’ donation will immensely help the non-profit in its endeavor.

This is not the first time the singer has been in news for his philanthropic acts. Last year he had contributed $1 million towards supporting the victims of the Flint water crisis in Michigan.
