To applaud those that are keeping the community safe and healthy, Starbucks is offering free coffee to front-line responders for the entire month of December.

Starting 1st December, any customer who identifies as a front-line responder to the COVID-19 outbreak will receive a tall brewed coffee, either hot or iced, free of cost.

The offer is valid on Starbucks U.S. company-operated locations and select licensed stores.

There is no limit on the offer and the front-line responders can avail this facility for as many times as they want in this month.

You’ve been there for our communities, we're here to support you. 💚

Those eligible include doctors, pharmacists, hospital staff including security, janitors, and housekeeping staff, firefighters, mental health workers, law enforcement officers, dentists, pilots, and flight attendants, among many others.

“It has been an extraordinarily difficult year, especially for the front-line responders who are serving our communities,” said Virginia Tenpenny, Starbucks vice president, Global Social Impact. “We want to show our deep gratitude for those who support and protect us every day with a small gesture of kindness and a cup of coffee.”

Starbucks also donated $100,000 to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to support virtual mental health resources for front-line responders. Further, it announced that in the holiday season, it would surprise 50,000 front-line responders with care packages and Starbucks gift cards.

However, this is not the first initiative that Starbucks has taken in the pandemic to aid front-line workers.

Since March, The Starbucks Foundation has donated more than $1 million to support front-line responders, including delivery of personal protective equipment and essential medical items. It has also provided over 2 million free cups of coffee to healthcare workers and front-line responders.

Isn’t this a fantastic initiative by Starbucks? Let us know your views in the comments section below.
