Climate change is real and is getting worse each day. The onus is on each one of us to make the earth a better, safer, and more sustainable planet to live in. If we don’t act today, the repercussions of this evil on our generation and the future ones will be grave.
And nothing like getting some celebrities involved to contribute towards the cause. And rapper Lil Dicky has done exactly that. In honour of Earth Day on 22nd April, he has brought in over thirty A-list artists to together for a song titled ‘Earth.’
The song features Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, Snoop Dogg, and Ariana Grande lending their voices to various animals and characters. The seven-minute long video is extremely entertaining and a delight to watch. It urges people to come together and act towards climate change and global warming.
So, Justin Beiber lends his voice to a monkey, Ariana Grande to a zebra, Halsey to a lion cub, Snoop Dogg to a weed plant, Miley Cyrus to an elephant, Ed Sheeran to a koala, and Katy Perry to a pony.
The net profits from the song, video, and merchandise will go towards the DiCaprio Foundation, set up by renowned actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, who also makes an appearance towards the end of the video. The foundation supports projects that mitigate the effects of climate change, protect wildlife around the globe, and promote the well-being of all inhabitants of the earth.
