Safest Cities for 2019 List by The Economist Intelligence Unit revealed

The ‘Safe Cities Index 2019‘ released by The Economist Intelligence Unit, sponsored by NEC Corporation, has been released. The index ranks 60 cities across the world on parameters such as digital security, personal security, health security, and infrastructure security.

Tokyo, the capital of Japan, topped the list with an overall score of 92.0, topping the charts for the second consecutive time.

Here is the list of the top twenty cities in the list:

Interestingly, six of the top ten cities in this list are from the Asia-Pacific region, two are from Europe, and the other two are from America.

Also, the three cities of Tokyo, Singapore, and Osaka have been on the list consistently at the same positions since the list was first released in 2015.
