Aesthetics may not be the only thing for your future paint selection for home or office. You may also have the exciting option of painting walls and roofs with energy-harvesting emulsions producing clean energy. Australian researchers have developed a solar paint producing clean energy from sunlight and water vapor. In a process like photosynthesis in plants, a special compound in the paint will produce hydrogen from atmospheric water vapor and sunlight. This hydrogen can produce electricity in fuel cells, says Dr. Torben Daenekeof the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. So, when what pleases your eyes also pleases your wallet, why not go for it?
