Indian Woman Becomes Fastest Asian to Cycle the Globe

Indian woman becomes fastest Asian to cycle the globe

Vedangi Kulkarni, a 20-year-old from the western city of India – Pune, has become the fastest Asian to cycle across the globe. She achieved this feat in 159 days, only a few days behind the world record holder for the same. British woman Jenny Graham had achieved this distinction in 2018 in 124 days.

However, this journey was not without challenges. She had to face numerous adversities along her way – cycling for 300 kilometres a day, withstanding extreme weather conditions, and facing issues with visas for different nations was only the tip of the iceberg. Being robbed at knife-point in Spain and being chased by a Grizzly bear in Canada were also part of this memorable journey.

This incredible feat could not have been achieved without her parents, who funded a major portion of the ride.
