Famous statues of Mahatma Gandhi across the world

Mahatma Gandhi, the icon of non-violence and peace, has given much to the world and has truly made the world a better place to live in. He has been one of the most revered leaders of all time.

Today, on his 150th birthday, we look at some of his statues from across the world.

The below statue is of the Mahatma outside the Indian Parliament in New Delhi, India.

This one is a statue of the great man outside London’s Parliament Square.

Here is a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Pietermaritzburg in South Africa. It was here that Gandhi was thrown out of a train when he refused to move out of a whites-only compartment.

Here is a statue of the Mahatma in Brisbane, Australia. It was unveiled by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in 2014.
