The Bobby G. Lester Elementary School in Jacksonville, Arkansas held a ‘Dress as you favorite person day’ recently. And as the name of this fun day suggests, students were expected to dress as their favorite person.

5-year-old Easton Blocker arrived in school dressed as his school’s security officer, Jeffery Cross. His mother, Lauryn Blocker said that this ingenious idea was that of Easton’s, who is infatuated with Officer Cross.

“He’s infatuated with Officer Cross,” Blocker, a mother of three from Jacksonville, said.” “He will tell you, ‘That’s my best friend!'”

To ensure that her son’s idea was a huge success, Lauryn got him a yellow shirt, very similar to what Officer Cross’ uniform is. She then pasted the words ‘Junior Security’ in vinyl letters.

And while Easton definitely won Officer Cross’ heart, he also won the hearts of netizens around the world, who gushed at this lovely thought by the kindergartner.

As expected, Officer Cross was shocked and overwhelmed with Easton’s gesture. “Most of the scholars are expected to dress as their teachers or fellow classmates,” he said. “Easton, ever since the first day of school, he comes up and hugs me. He’s adorable. He has a very fun, high-spirited personality.” He added that this incident made him appreciate his job more.

Isn’t this an extremely adorable news that tugs at your heartstrings? Do let us know what you think of Easton’s gesture in the comments section below.
