Trees are the lungs of the Earth, turning carbon dioxide into clean oxygen and purifying the air. Moreover, they act as air conditioners for the planet and help keep the Earth cool.

However, today, the indiscriminate cutting of trees has resulted in global warming and other natural calamities.

In these times, it is imperative that we do all we can to plant more trees and keep the environment green.

And, an Indian Forest Officer, Parveen Kaswan showed us an innovative manner of doing so. Recently, the officer, who has a big following on Twitter, shared a picture of his personal visiting card on the social media platform.

And what is so special about the card?

Well, this innovative visiting card, when buried in the soil, grows into a beautiful basil plant!

Isn’t this amazing?

“So, now anybody coming to my office is getting this. This card when planted grows into a bright basil plant,” Kaswan wrote on Twitter.

This unique idea of Kaswan went viral on social media, with many netizens applauding and appreciating his green and eco-friendly initiative.

Quite a few also asked him for more details on where they could get similar cards printed. Many others said that this idea could be adopted for birthday and wedding cards, calendars, and envelops, which otherwise generally end up in the trash.

At a time when most natural resources are getting exhausted at a fast pace, such initiatives can go a long way in making the planet green again.
