Hundreds of Santas ski to raise money for charity

The “Santa Sunday” is an annual event aimed at raising funds for local charities.

Hundreds of Santas swapped their sleighs with skis recently for a charitable cause in Maine, US. Around 300 people, all dressed as Santa Claus, took to the slopes in Newry, a small town in Maine, for the annual “Santa Sunday.” The slopes were dotted with red as the Santas were seen zooming down the slopes on their skis and snowboards.

The “Santa Sunday” is an annual event organised by the Sunday River Resort. It is aimed at raising funds for local charities so that those less privileged can also enjoy the festivities. This year, the skiing Santas raised around $4,000. The money is sure to bring cheer to a lot of people this festive season.
