The iconic sitcom of the 90s Friends has been one of the most loved and followed sitcoms of all time. And this year was the 25th-anniversary celebration of this amazing sitcom. And there have been celebrations galore.
So, Lego had launched a new set that included figures of the six main characters – Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Joey. Further, multiple screens were holding special screenings of this sitcom across the year. Would you believe that an online retailer called Frontier Communications offered fans $1,000 for binge-watching the series!
And, here is another fantastic piece of news for fans of the sitcom.
Warner Bros. Television and movie-themed auction house Prop Store are now auctioning off a number of original and reproduced “Friends” items that include clothes, set decoration items and props.
Remember the turkey that Monica’s head got into or Joey’s cute bedtime Hugsy doll? Yes, they are all available now! Apart from that, the iconic orange couch, Ross’ armadillo costume, and Joey and Chandler’s wood canoe are also available for bidding. Each of these items will come in with a Warner Bros. Certificate of Authenticity.
Isn’t that amazing?
“Prop Store is thrilled to be working with Warner Bros. to auction some incredible material from all 10 seasons of ‘Friends,'” said Prop Store COO Brandon Alinger in the press release. “The series gave us so many laughs during its original run and continues to entertain and inspire fans around the world.”
The bidding will begin on 3rd December – the Giving Tuesday – and would last till 17th December.
The proceeds from the auction will be donated to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people.
