The FRIENDS reunion is happening!

One of the most loved sitcoms ever, FRIENDS has, last year, celebrated 25 years of its existence.

And, there is a fantastic great news for all its fans.

The sitcom is back after more than 15 years!

The entire cast of the series – Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kurdow, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry – are reuniting for an exclusive unscripted special episode on the streaming platform HBO Max.

“Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library,” Kevin Reilly, chief content officer for HBO Max, said in a statement.

This special episode will be directed by Ben Wilson, who will also serve as the executive producer.

Most of the lead stars of the series put up posts on social media confirming the news.

According to a report by Variety, each of the stars is being paid at least a whopping $2.5 million for the episode.

This reunion been anticipated since long, more so from when the Warner Bros-created SVOD platform took away the streaing rights of FRIENDS from Netflix. HBO Max, which will be launched in May 2020, will also now have the exclusive streaming rights of all the 236 episodes of this series.

One of the most loved shows ever, FRIENDS first aired in 1994 and ran for 10 seasons. However, it is still among the most watched series on streaming platforms. It follows the life of six friends in New York and the personal and professional turns their lives take.
