There are some moments that will always be etched in the memory of cricket lovers across the world.

And one of those was the day when Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh hammering six sixes in six balls against England – the first time that this feat was ever achieved in T20s.

It was on 19th September 2007 when the fiery Yuvraj Singh slammed English fast bowler Stuart Broad for six sixes in Kingsmead in Durban in the T20 World Cup match, creating history and etching his name in history books forever.

In the process, Singh also became the first and the only Indian till date to hit six sixes in an over in any format of the game.

India went on to win the T20 World Cup, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan in the final at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.

In the over before Board’s, Yuvraj had slammed medium-pacer Andrew Flintoff for two fours, which annoyed the bowler. The batsman and the bowler were involved in a scuffle, which might have pumped up Yuvraj for the assault on Broad.

The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), the governing body of the game in India, reminisced this iconic day by sharing a collage of the six sixes that the very talented cricket hit.

And what followed were more tributes.

The legendary batsman himself took to social media to put up an adorable throwback picture, admitting that he never thought he could hit the six sixes in a row.

And who can forget the booming voice of Ravi Shastri in the commentary box! Shastri, who also serves as the current coach of the Indian national cricket team, took to Twitter to reminisce the extraordinary day.
